Om Mamah is a Bay Area-based, woman- and mom-owned Ayurvedic beauty and wellness brand making 100% natural, multifunctional skincare and haircare products handcrafted in small batches. Founded by Aparna — a former software engineer at Meta, Cisco, and Intel — Om Mamah brings ancient Ayurvedic rituals into modern family life through 5-minute rituals that replace multiple products with one, using food-grade, preservative-free ingredients the whole family can feel good about
Aparna Subbaraya, Founder
A former software engineer with experience at Meta, Cisco, and Intel, Aparna holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from USC, where she graduated as Most Outstanding Student with a perfect GPA. After becoming a mother, she discovered that most “natural” products on the market still contained synthetic chemicals — so she returned to the Ayurvedic traditions she grew up with in India and began formulating her own. Om Mamah was born from a scalp serum she created when her newborn developed a dry, flaky scalp and nothing safe enough existed.
